Asset Strategies vs Custom Test Point Groups

In a test specification test point accuracy group, you can specify either a built in 'Strategy' or create a custom test point group.

 

A strategy determines the nominal test points that will be generated and executed during calibration.  Rather than manually entering each test point, the strategy dropdown will automatically create a standard sequence of points based on the configured range.  This helps ensure consistent calibration execution across similar instruments

Pre-Configured Strategies:

  • Zero Only [0]
  • Span Only [100]
  • 2 Up [0, 100]
  • 2 Down [100, 0]
  • 3 Up [0, 50, 100]
  • 3 Up Padded [10, 50, 90]
  • 3 Down [100, 50, 0]
  • 3 Up/Down [0, 50, 100, 50, 0]
  • 5 Up [0, 25, 50, 75, 100]
  • 5 Up Padded [10, 25, 50, 75, 90]
  • 5 Down [100, 75, 50, 25, 0]
  • 5 Up/Down [0, 25, 50, 75, 100, 75, 50, 25, 0]
  • 11 Up [0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100]
  • 11 Up/Down [0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 0]
  • 11 Down [100, 90, 80, 0, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 0]

 

 

If you select a strategy from the dropdown ProCalX will generate the test points automatically.  You do not see an applicable built in strategy, you can configure custom test point groups by clicking the button next to the strategy dropdown.

 

From here you will see the screen change and you can enter the specific number of test points and populate each point value manually that will be used during calibration.
