The ProCalX Pro edition allows Administrative users to easily move an asset from one OU (Organizational Unit) to another within the system. This action updates the asset's organizational assignment, helping ensure the asset is associated with the correct department, location, or business unit for reporting, management, and ownership purposes.
You can access this feature by right clicking on an asset record and selecting 'Transfer to Organizational Unit'.
A modal window will appear where you can specify the new OU location from the dropdown.
In the 'Field Configuration Validation' section it will tell you if a record does not exist in the target company and will be added upon transferring. It also confirms that all associated result records with the asset will be moved to the new OU.
Once you click 'Execute Transfer' you will see a green banner message confirming the transfer is complete. This transfer of OU will be visible in the 'Asset History' for traceability purposes.
